Faux Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened nut, seed, coconut or milk. I

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds or 2 tbsp zen basil

  • 2 tbsp flaxseed

  • 1/2 cup frozen organic blueberries

  • 1 serving protein powder (25-30g)

Directions:

  1. To make without using heat, add all ingredients into a glass container, mix well, cover and store in fridge overnight or for a min. of 6 hours,

  2. Using a small soup pan, add milk and turn heat to low-medium.

  3. Allow the nut milk to lightly simmer - add seeds and berries; stir well and cover for 8 minutes.

  4. Remove lid, stir in protein powder.

  5. If you desire a thicker consistency, cover with a lid for another 2-3 minutes. Want it thinner? Add water.

  6. Serve warm and top with extra berries, nuts & cinnamon

  7. Feel free to top with extra berries such as raspberries or blackberries for more diversity!
