PALEO APPLE CRUMBLE
Ingredients:
Filling

3 medium organic red apples, peeled and thinly

1/3 cup organic oats (optional)

1 tablespoon honey
-
1 tablespoon finely ground, blanched almond flour

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
-
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
-
1-2 tablespoons water (optional)
Topping
-
¾ cup almonds, chopped
-
½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
-
¼ cup finely ground, blanched almond flour
-
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
1 tablespoons honey
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan with coconut oil. Set aside.

In a large bowl, add all filling ingredients and combine well using hands or spatula. If your mixture isn’t very wet, add in water—you’ll want to see 1-2 tablespoons liquid at the bottom of the bowl

Pour mixture into baking pan and smooth out into an even layer.

In a medium bowl, combine topping ingredients until crumbles form. I used a fork.

Gently add the topping crumble evenly over the apple filling

Bake for 40-50 minutes. Keep an eye on the crumble - you’ll know its done when the top is a deep golden brown and the juice around the filling has thickened.

Allow to cool for 5 mins Serve warm with of NTG coconut nice cream and enjoy!
